A Level and T level results - Early analysis show successes

This year's A Level and T Level results are out, after 2 years and we’ve completed some early analysis of the latest UCAS data and exam results, which shows that computing is now the fastest growing of any degree subject (and the fastest growing A level too). There’s been a 20% rise in applications from female students to CS degree courses.

Key aspects:

• It’s positive news that CS is a fast growing degree subject, and that entries by young women are steadily increasing – although there’s still a long way to go (females are outnumbered 4.2:1)

• 24,900 students have secured places on Computer Science degree courses this year– the largest % increase of any subject.

• The first T levels results are out, this includes Digital Production design and development. Females have performed well receiving a higher proportion of the top grades

• The numbers taking A level continue to grow, and the proportion of females is stable
