Free online resources for Primary Teachers to support them in teaching the Computer Science elements of the new Curriculum.
Note: Many Secondary Teachers are using them too.
These resources are suitable for teachers independent CPD, or for use in staff meetings, or for CAS Master Teachers to use in CPD events.
Each computational thinking concept is explained in simple terms, including an animation and lots of examples. Why the concept is in important is summarized and what it looks like in Early Years, KS1, KS2.
There are short simple, often unplugged, cross curricula activities for teachers to undertake with their class that exemplify the concept.
This is not a SOW. This is CPD materials for teachers to help them understand the underlying computer science concepts and give them confidence to start to teach the new curriculum.
