CAS Member Survey – Results Are In!
A heartfelt thank you to our incredible members who participated in the survey this summer. We were thrilled to receive over 300 responses, with members spending an average of 20 minutes completing the questions. This level of engagement speaks volumes about the dedication and loyalty of our community—thank you!
Key Findings
We’re delighted to share some highlights from your feedback:
Recommendation Scores: Nearly 60% of you rated CAS 8+ out of 10 when asked, “How likely are you to recommend CAS to a friend?” Interestingly, members who joined over 5 years ago gave us even higher scores. To better support newer members, we’ll be refining the new member experience.
Valuable Resources and CPD:
- 55% of you said resources are ‘essential’ or ‘very valuable.’
- 49% rated CPD offerings similarly.
- Teachers highlighted how CAS resources save time by providing ready-to-use materials that align with the curriculum, enabling more focus on teaching.
- CPD was praised for inspiring professional growth, with several members sharing how CAS helped advance their careers, even into leadership roles
Emerging Priorities:
- A growing interest in integrating AI tools into primary-level teaching beyond just introducing “what is AI.”
- Increased demand for support in areas like data science, digital literacy, online safety, and leadership skills.
- Calls for enhanced support for non-specialist or early-career teachers.
- Advocacy for stronger computing education support, including funding for equipment, cross-curricular digital skills integration, and school recognition for excellence in computing.
We have taken all of this valuable feedback on board and will be making some exciting updates to our content and website. Keep your eyes out for new and improved features in the new year!
Season’s Greetings
Wishing you all a well-deserved holiday break. Thank you for being a vital part of the CAS community!
Warm regards,
The CAS Central Team
