Nominations open for the BCS(NI) Educator of the Year
IT Educator of the Year
The IT Educator of the Year award is given by the Northern Ireland region of the BCS.
Nominations are requested from our members and the local teaching community. The winner is selected by a jury of Education and IT professionals, including previous recipients of the award.
The awards recognise and celebrate those educators who innovate, challenge and embrace technology to encourage and support our young people driving computing and digital education in schools.
We acknowledge inspirational teachers who excel in raising awareness and deepening understanding of computing, computational thinking, and digital skills in students and peers.
Due to the success of the Awards in the first 3 years, categories were expanded to recognise contributions to Computing, and Digital Skills in both Primary, and Post Primary sectors.
Categories include:
IT Educator Computing - Primary Primary Computing Application
IT Educator Computing - Post-primary Post Primary Computing Application
IT Educator Digital Skills - Primary Primary Digital Skills Application
IT Educator Digital Skills - Post-primary Post Primary Digital Skills
We have so many fabulous teachers in Northern Ireland - let us recognise their work.
