This resource contains a selection of 13 popular children's story books and how they could be used for developing an understanding of algorithms and programming in EYFS. It's shared as a starting point for those practitioners who would like to embed algorithmic thinking and early programming concepts into their classroom because sometimes all that's needed is a spark to inginte the flame of our own imagination.
Our statutory Framework for EYFS states that "listening to a broad selection of stories, non-fiction, rhymes and poems will foster their understanding of our culturally, socially, technologically and ecologically diverse world." So this is just one way to begin fostering that understanding of our technologically diverse world.
I hope it helps spark ideas around how you could use stories that your children love.
