This is my Scratch to Java unit aimed at Y9.

It takes students through the following programming techniques:

Input/output Variables Selection For loops While loops

Each exercise comes in 3 stages:

  1. Worked example in Scratch
  2. Worked example in Java
  3. Differentiated independent exercise.

The project is presented as web pages (link is to a Dropbox folder - download the contents and open the index page in Chrome/Firefox etc - it doesn't like IE).

Level: (Beginner / Intermediate)

Duration: (12 weeks)

Teaches: (visual programming, text based programming, input, output, loops, selection)
