Cross Curricular Scratch - Retelling historical events

Once programming skills are taught, it isn't always easy to find opportunities to allow children a chance to apply those skills independently. Using them in other areas of the curriculum can help you assess what they have learnt and for the programming to have context.

The children can use simple programming using say and wait commands to retell historical events, or religious texts. This could also link to literacy in a number of ways.
