Please join us to find out more about the CAS Physical Computing Competition that we are running for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils in the summer term.

At the session, we will showcase how various individuals, including those working in the world of conservation, are harnessing technology to provide solutions. Inspired by these individuals, we want pupils to consider how technology can be used to solve problems in their environments. Pupils will be using the micro:bit as part of their solution. Are your micro:bits still in the box? This competition will be a perfect way to get your pupils using these devices, as we will be providing a comprehensive set of resources to guide you through the entire process. No micro:bit? No problem! Pupils can identify which of the micro:bit's sensors they would use and what actions would be carried out, presenting their ideas as a paper-based plan.

We will also share a set of resources that we have developed to support the running of the competition, including guidance on organising technology competitions in schools.

We believe this is going to be a wonderful opportunity to engage pupils in the world of physical computing and develop their appreciation for how technology can be utilised to solve problems in various fields.
