As AI and robotics innovations are set to transform society, it is increasingly important that every student can acquire the skills to navigate, shape, and critically evaluate these technologies.

The session will provide a practical introduction to the use of remotely programmable robots as a convenient learning tool that can motivate students to tackle core concepts in computing.

Using the platform of remotely accessible robots developed by Scaleup Robotics AB (scaleuprobotics.com), we will demonstrate Python and Blockly programming of remote robots via the internet. We will discuss potential application scenarios of this approach in the classroom and will illustrate how the use of remote robots allows teachers and students to focus on core learning outcomes since hardware setup and maintenance is provided fully remotely.
