Introducing I Belong for key stage 2
Are you a primary computing lead or key stage 2 teacher who is passionate about fostering a sense of belonging for girls in computing? The I Belong programme is here to help you create an inclusive and supportive environment where girls can thrive in computing and computer science.
Did you know that by GCSE, only 22% of computer science students are female? To tackle this, we need to start early to break down gender stereotypes before they take root. In this introductory webinar led by Helen Cotton, NCCE Gender and Inclusion specialist for primary, you’ll discover why it is important to empower girls in computing from a young age, and what you can do to make sure they feel they belong. You’ll find out how to bring I Belong to your school and the fantastic resources which will support you along the way. There will be a chance to ask questions and find out all you need to know before you dive into the programme.
