Who is it for?

  • Teachers of computing across Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland, Richmondshire, and Stockton-on-Tees.
  • Those that are new to computing through to experienced leaders of computing education, we are here to help, support and advise.
  • Primary all the way through secondary to FE. All are welcome.

Why only 30 minutes?

  • Many items can be covered quickly and efficiently within this time. There is always the possibility that more "in-depth" themes can be tackled at different times, with connections arranged suitably.

What topics could be covered?

  • Computing Quality Framework - Getting started and making progress.
  • Cross-curricular computing
  • Physical computing (Crumbles, Micro:bits, Raspberry Pi...)
  • Curriculum design
  • Assessment of computing
  • Computing Subject Knowledge
  • CPD advice
  • Cybersecurity and e-safety
  • Computing careers and Ambassadors
  • And any other computing-related topic. The agenda is fluid and we'll only discuss the items that participants are wanting to talk about. For items that you definitely want to go through, please contact the CAS Community Leader.
