Enjoy Learning Interactive 3D with Rube Goldberg Machines
Thematic Community
Online
Game engines are used in much of the content consumed by students today. Using game engines in the classroom gives students the power of Interactive 3D to tell stories and communicate their vision while building a foundation of future-ready career skills. Educators will learn the fun and engaging learning experiences that occur when you can create and iterate your work in a physics-based environment. Participants will learn how to navigate the Unreal Engine software to construct Rube Goldberg machines. After leaving this session, teachers will have the resources they need to bring this experience to their students and support them in participating in the global Digital Rube Goldberg competition
Topics covered include:
-
Navigation and Transformation
-
Working with digital assets in 3D
-
Creating custom scenes using world-building techniques
-
Introduction to coding with Blueprints
-
Modifying asset attributes
-
